LEVEL 08 · LESSON 09
Community evidence

See it
Community data become useful when the contribution preserves plant context, recipe/version identity, stage, attempt count, outcome definitions, and clear source type. Reputation and scientific evidence should remain separate.
Understand it
A highly respected user can still be wrong about a biological claim.
Aggregate outcomes should preserve the underlying definitions.
Private lab records should be shared only by explicit choice.
Important boundary
Do not let likes, popularity, or a profile score determine whether a protocol is scientifically correct.
Try it
Explain the concept in your own words, then identify what plant, explant, stage, units, source, or observation context would need to be preserved before applying it.
Lesson quiz
Apply it
Connect this lesson to an actual MyTCLab record: what fields would you need in order to know later exactly what happened and why?
